About Drone Site UK

Construction is the work we know

Drone Site UK has been flying commercially since 2019, based in Doncaster and working across South Yorkshire and beyond. Most of our work is on construction sites and around structural steel, which is the work we chose rather than the work that found us.

We work with main contractors, developers, steel fabricators and erectors, and the facilities teams who look after the buildings afterwards. Clients include Billington Structures, Easi-Edge, Brunton Shaw, Premier Blasting and Universal Group.

One point of contact for the whole job, from the first call to the last file. Stills are edited and delivered within 24 hours of every visit; video comes back the same day as graded clips.

Drone Site UK is run by Andrew Cooke, who has been drawn to construction and to things being built for as long as he can remember. A steel frame going up is still the job the business looks forward to most.

How we work

Plan

Airspace and permissions checked, a site walk on arrival, risk assessment and method statement supplied when the site needs one.

Fly

Small, quiet aircraft that can work close to a live structure; FPV for inside and through a frame. Pre-flight check and a site brief before take-off.

Deliver

Stills edited and delivered within 24 hours, video as graded clips, in a gallery link and a PDF.

Kit, briefly

We fly small DJI aircraft, including sub-250g models that can legally work closer to people and structures than larger drones, plus FPV aircraft for continuous flying sequences. No heat-imaging camera and no mapping payload; if the job needs those, we’ll say so and point you at someone who has them.
