The job
A single visit to record the steel frame of a new office building for end user Lowell at Thorpe Park, Leeds, at the point where the frame was up and the envelope had not yet closed it in.
What it replaced
Ground-level photographs of a steel frame, which show a fence and the first two bays. From the air, the whole frame reads in one image, including the parts that are gone a fortnight later.
What we did
Flew the site from positions that showed the full frame in context; captured stills at several heights and angles; graded and delivered the set within 24 hours.
What they got
A dated set of high-resolution stills of the completed frame, for their own records and marketing.
Outcome
A record of the frame at the one moment it can be photographed like this. These are the images fabricators use in tenders, because everybody else’s photographs of steel look the same.
